Top 10 Tuesday – Spring Break Style

One of the best things about spring break, whether you are traveling or home on a “staycation”, is extra bonus time to read/watch/listen.   Here’s what I’ve been up to.

1 An American Marriage – I started it and was all “eh? I don’t see it.”  Keep with it.  A few chapters in, I couldn’t put it down and I truly wasn’t sure how it would end.

2 Sunburn – Perfect beach read.  And not just because of the title.  On that note, shameless plug for sunscreen.

3 Clean Protein– Reading this book co-authored by the original Veganista, I feel like I am reaffirming my vows to being a vegan. If you have even considered going meatless, just for a few days, this is worth picking up.  It’s not just propaganda, I promise.

4 American Idol – I had no desire to watch. I literally said to my daughter Catie “I really don’t want to watch a show about other people singing.”  (Nasty mom mode, fo sho!)  However, it’s been playing in the background of my life enough that now of course I’m getting sucked in.  Plus, Lionel Richie is a legend.

5 On that note, Luke Bryan is adorable.  (Note the beard, Loomis.  I’m moving in on your territory.)  We liked his music before we even knew what he looked like!

6 Billions is back.  If you haven’t been watching, get caught up and get on board.  This season is just starting.

7 We are sloooooooooowly rationing out our last few episodes of Season 2 of the The Crown on Netflix.  If you binge watch one show, this is the one.  I can’t get enough of hot mess Margaret.

8 Need a new podcast?  I’ve been enjoying Second Life, hosted by Who What Wear co-founder (and adorable new mama) Hillary Kerr.

Hilary chronicles the career changes that can come at any age, which is for sure #relatable, as I have been enjoying the second life of my career.

9 Another good podcast if you want to geek out is WorkLife with Adam Grant

FullSizeRender-2.jpgYou may have heard of organizational psychologist Grant, as he co-authored Option B (Loomis and Long approved) along with Sheryl Sandburg.  On each podcast, he focuses on one extraordinary workplace and provides insights on better ways to work.

10  Jay Shetty – How have I missed this guy? Where have I been? If you haven’t seen it yet video, watch this. I promise you wont regret it.

Before You Feel Pressure

So, are you guys reading/watching/listening to anything we should know about?
