Long and I have been joking that we need to set a timer while we are blogging or we can get carried away and get nothing else done.
#Sorryhorseface dogs kids and clients and team I set no timer this morning and I’m so glad that I didn’t. I have thoroughly enjoyed going down the rabbit hole of long lost e-mail exchanges and sifting through images of beautiful parties executed by my friend Paige.
Here’s how it all began on Etsy in 2010!
(I was clearly quite proud of this idea)
(No boys for us #sorryhorseface)
I forget what point I made this next comment but it sure as hell wasn’t in response to the baking.
But the fun continued and she didn’t skip a beat when it came to my very annoying “S” party requests . . .
All of these exchanges 7 years ago led to one heckofan “S” party and the beginning of a beautiful friendship. (Here’s some of the pics to prove it – It was all fun and games until Smurfette passed out on my chaise.)
OKAY so I am not going to bore you with every other detailed convo Ms. Paige and I had about party plans or life in general but I need to toot her horn and show you some of the magic she has created over the years. She was a pioneer in the over the top party planning world.
Her attention to detail is almost disturbing (I mean that in the nicest way possible)
Those are freaking gumballs! That she made into artwork by herself.I mean, I canNOT even. She’s been featured countless times.
Check out the Curious Charley’s Monkey Party
That’s Paige’s gorgeous daughter Charley and this might be my fave party of all time.
You guys there are SO MANY! Each one more fabulous than the next but we have 7 more years to catch up on so I’m going to have to skip a few.
Oh, but first some of OUR collabs from our former lives.
More deets here.
And heeeerrrre’s Paige’s version.
Okay fast forward 5 years to March of 2015 when I pounced on the opportunity of a lifetime, and knew exactly who else would be be perfect for Beautycounter – you guessed it, Paige.
And guess what happened?
She TOTALLY BLEW ME OFF. She thought it was some creepy MLM
(thanks out there to all you creepy MLMs for ruining a great thing).
She continued to blow me off but I never gave up on her and 2 and half years later Paige realized Beautycounter was what we had been searching for all these years as young moms – not wanting to miss a moment with our monkeys, but seeking an outlet, and to put something meaningful out into the world . . . to make the world a better place for those we love. #cheesybuttrue
Long story longer : Paige joined Beautycounter in May and is one of only SEVEN people to earn the incentive trip that started at the same time –
So here we are – as roommates at the glorious Four Seasons Biltmore in Montecito.
I don’t hate to say ‘I told you so’
Finally meeting in person, every minute together effortlesss and made me smile, just like that first Etsy conversation. (Oh, except when a bird flew in our room. I obvs screamed bloody murder and locked myself in the bathroom but superhero Paige saved the day.)
She is fearless. She is passionate & dedicated. She is no bullshit. She is beautiful inside and out. And I couldn’t be happier that she is leading the change.
even if Gregg did have to tell her that her boob was out during this glorious dinner at San Ysidro Ranch.
She’s also previous roommate approved . . . (Berni still pending)And perhaps most importantly, she’s Long-approved, obvs, even though that butterfly was too busy being
drunk awesome to pose for a pic with us.
Thanks, Paige for all that you do to get safer products into the hands of everyone. I look forward to many more bi-coastal adventures with you.
