And now here we are.
2017’s theme – “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between”
Many designers work with the goal of making women look good. Ms. Kawakubo seems to work with the goal of making women look again.

Y’all know I LOVE a good theme. But I also don’t think people should look completely off the rails ridiculous (no offense to Rei) so here are my top ten from the evening who I believe capture the “Art of the In-between” – some more than others, some honorable mentions for just plain pretty. They all made me ‘look again’.
(Spoiler alert: no one dethrones Camilla Belle 2007)
*oh, and Rei’s color is red hence the extra points for that.

3. Cara Delevigne crushing the theme in Chanel.
4. Gigi Hadid in Tommy Hilfiger.
5. Zoe Kravitz in ODL
6. Jenna Lyons
7. Keri Russell in Rag & Bone
8. Cassie (& Sean Combs)
If ever I have my red carpet mome, I’m going to demand Horseface pull this move.
9. K Hud (love the hair, make-up NSM)
10. Lily Aldridge
These next few lose points for not pushing the envelope and embracing the theme but are still A+ in my book.
Diane Kruger
J. Lo
Zoey Deutch
Elle Fanning
And obvs my fave of the evening is Lily-Rose Depp in her HOT PINK representin’
