SAGs & Stripes

This is a safe place . . . a happy place with positive comments – rainbows & roses, y’all. Therefor, in our 2017 SAG awards wrap-up we are not going to say how we felt about Nicole Kidman’s dress . . .

or Rancic’s fake tan,

Or Salma’s cotillion gown that looks like something straight out of Charlotte & Phoebe’s imagination . . . (and you’re welcome, Salma, you can borrow my body anytime)

or K Hud’s make-up . . .

and we definitely are not going to bring up how Michelle William’s neck accessories drive us bananas. (Or maybe we are just jealous because she is FLAWLESS otherwise)

Here’s what we are going to tell you.  Both Loomis & Long love stripes and hot pink.  And there was plenty of that to go around.

As soon as I caught a glimpse of this sunset hued beauty on the RC I knew it would be Long’s fave.  Excellent choice for Michelle Dockery and Ms. Long.

We also both swooned over Sophia Bush’s hot pink Marchesa gown.

Honorable mention to Yada Shahidi for this Neem Khan number.

Sidebar: This was not at the SAGs but obsessed with Miranda Kerr in this striped gloriousness.

I digress (ADD) . . .my personal fave from last night was Viola Davis in Vivienne Westwood.  But I have a thing for white dresses.   Well documented in this SAG award blog post from 2012.

PS. I kinda wanna party with Viola.  She mentioned her affinity for prosecco and hot tubs in her awky Rancic interview.  Yes, please.

Also, speaking of white, nevermind the statue, Natalie deserves a purple heart for attending the awards show, clearly overdue.  Poor bird.

So it’s sufficed to say Long and I might fight over the same gown to wear on the red carpet {someday . . . } but don’t worry, we won’t be arm-wrestling over the same dude anytime soon.  Unless it’s Shiva Das.

A beard is a deal-breaker for Ms. Long.  Me, not so much.

And speaking of the men in our lives . . . I leave you with this.
